DEAD LINKS

NOTE : DEAD LINKS
We'd like to thank everyone for preventing us of dead links. For the moment, we are note able to re-up them.

Feel free to keep on preventing us of those dead links. We will update them when we (I and Jeb-E-Diah) have more time to (understand : from september). Some of them will be partially or completely repacked considering albums which would have been issued thereafter and surely with new and improved artworks.

Stay tuned !

SPARKLEHORSE (ABO #350)

SPARKLEHORSE
GOODBYES

Though the death of Mark Linkous didn't really took me by surprise, his history of chronic depression was a strong hint as how disastrous his future could be, it really pained me. Mark was a great songwriter and, from what I get, an honest human being. The music of his band, Sparklehorse, basically the vehicle for his genius and obsessions, demonstrated that he could write songs which possessed both meaning and grace. In that, he wasn't far from another singer/songwriter with whom he shared a great sense of melody and, now, the same demise: Elliott Smith.
This compilation was already in the works when news came that Mark had commited suicide leaving us short of a terrific songwriter. You don't find one like him under a horse's hoofs. R.I.P.

RIYL:
The Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev, Elliott Smith

Vet sad news, lets hope the pain that drove him to such an extreme act has now ended. Yes a great talent and a friend of mine shared a stage ( and time ) with him lalst year and confirmed what you said, a thoroughly decent person.

A fitting tribute, I have all his albums but will still downlaod this. Thanks

Aling with Ellott Smith, Vic Chestnutt was another sad loss recently.

THoughts to his family and loved ones. RIP.
