And now it’s time to say goodbye.
For two and a half years, we have been working on a project to compile as many bands as we could and do it the best that we could. It's been fun if a little time consuming. Washed up and tired, we have decided to call it quits while we were still enjoying it.
Maybe someday will we return and take things where we left it. Maybe this final chapter of the Baistophe adventure will indeed be the end. Anyway, we'd like to thank all those who visited, commented, helped with their own compilations, etc. Without them, we would have created a lesser blog.

ReplyDeleteThen, let me tell you one thing: I'm not sure if it's really the end or just a temporary pause in Baistophe's life. One thing's for sure, it became so addictive and brain consuming that I had trouble listening to a band without thinking of how I would "baistophe" it, what kind of artwork would be fitting, etc.
It kind of became an addiction and I had to sober from it.
That said, I might feel the urge to return like all addicts do but I don't know when or if it'll happen.
Thanks again to all those who commented, participed to this adventure, it has been fun.

You were/are absolutely brilliant. A consummation of everything the sharing world aspires to. You re-animated older artists catalogs and introduced newer artists with genuine zeal - all in a classy and personal way. If the majors had any sense they would produce the same with links to back catalogs for purchase/download. For more than 2 years you have been a top 5 web-stop for me - you and your passion and commitment will be missed.

I really enjoyed a couple which I have on vinyl and as I am in the car a lot I found these fantastic. They were magazine & xtc.
